Venda or Tshivenda is a Bantu language and an official language of South Africa and Zimbabwe. It is mainly spoken by the Venda people or Vhaven?a in the northern part of South Africa's Limpopo province, as well as by some Lemba people in South Africa.

Is the Xhosa term for korobela - which is love potion given to your lover so that he/she only loves you.
It basically translates to yiva mna ndedwa (only hear me).


I won't mind even if you can give me ivamna.

Vrr phaa

Is a Volkswagen Golf car. It was named this because of the explosive noise it makes (vrrrrrr phaaaa).


He came in with a vrr phaa and all the girls went crazy.

Vosho

A South African dance where the person squats and kicks at the same time. It is one of the most popular dances in South Africa.

Vuvuzela

A plastic horn/trumpet that is mostly blown in soccer matches. It produces a loud monotone note. It became very popular in South Africa in the 1990s. A fan of the Kaizer Chiefs named Freddie "Saddam" Maake says that he invented the vuvuzela.


Don't forget your vuvuzela when we go to the stadium.

Voetsek

This is the most common curse word, mostly used to chase a dog away.
Some may spell it as Tsek
