amatile-tile

Xhosa plural for stratagems. It is actually just amatile. Singular is itile. The ti is pronounced like English tea and le as in French. From the Sanskrit kutila which appear in Xhosa as ukutila.


My car broke down on the way, I had to make amatile-tile to get here.



Nyamao

A baSotho/Tswana swear word that means your mother's cunt. In Xhosa it would be msunu kanyoko.

Its more of a word of disbelief or a lie example when someone says something like"oh i'm sure she's a humble girl and doesn't do thing like other people her age" but you know that's not true it like you know something but instead you use the phase "welele" to like tell the other person that it's not true or it's a lie


"Did you hear that she broke up with her boyfriend again" then someone says "welele" in disbelief



Ngeku

A word the "Mapulane" adults use to refer to a girl.

Tata

Tata, a colloquial word from Liberia, is used to refer to the female organ responsible for receiving the penis in a friendly manner.

Nkqayi

Inkqayi is a Xhosa term for chiskop. Like when you cut all of your hair (bald).
A lot of people misspell it as nqayi.

Amabhokobhoko is the name used to refer to the South African men's rugby team (Springboks).


I won't be available this weekend, I will be watching Amabhokobhoko.



Braai

This is a South African way of saying Barbecue.
