Skopas

Term mostly used in the Northern parts of the country to refer to sweet flavoured and coloured popcorns.
Some parts of the country call them amaKip-kip

Holding a candle

A term used when someone tags along with a couple, either on a date or when they are just chilling.

Rabha

Rabha (pronounced rubber) is a Xhosa slang term for a kiss.

Akere

"A kere" or " Akere" is a commonly spoken interjection in Setswana, which often translates to "is it not?" or "isn't it" in short. It is usually placed at the end of a declarative sentence to turn it into a question.


"Leina la gago ke Thabo, akere?" >> Your name is Tshepo, isn't it?

Ikati

Ikati is a Nguni name for a cat.
