Itoti is a general term for a can or tin. It can be a can of beer, food or whatever, as long as it's a can you can call it itoti.


I stopped drinking ngud, I only drink itoti now.



iWash

An informal term mostly used by Xhosa people to refer to beer.

Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates AKA Bhakaniya is a South African soccer club that plays in the top-tier system of Football in South Africa known as Premier Soccer League.


Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs are the biggest rivals in the continent of Africa.



Bhakaniya

This is the Orlando Pirates football club from Soweto, South Africa. A person who is a fan of Pirates can also be referred to as Bhakaniya.


Bhakaniya has not won the league in a while now.



7 Colours

A meal that is generally cooked on Sundays in many households across Mzansi. It is coined as 7 colours because it comprises a lot of colourful ingredients; a mix of vegetables, starch and meat that make up various colours.

Illegal drinking place. In South Africa, it refers to unlicensed bars in Kasi and has become a mainstream word.


I last saw him drinking Zamalek at the shebeen yesterday.



Sdudla

A Kasi term for a chubby or a fat person.


Eish that girl sisdudla and I love her.



Sjura

Sjura is a derogatory Xhosa slang term for a whore or hoe.

Cape Town is a port city on South Africa’s southwest coast, on a peninsula beneath the imposing Table Mountain. It is the oldest and second largest city in South Africa, after Johannesburg.


I can't wait to go to Cape Town this summer.
